Temme Auto Trim, Inc. has been providing quality service to the Chicago / Suburban area since 1927.
The reputation for quality custom trim work established by William H. Temme, Sr. has served as a foundation on which they have been able to continue to build and expand he business.
Originating in Oak Park, Illinois, Temme quickly became one of the most progressive trim shops in the entire Chicagoland area.
A popular sales aid was introduced by Temme in the early '50s. The front office had a large peg board on which various sizes of miniature seats were displayed together with various styles of convertible top models.
This allowed the customer a glimpse into what their own vehicle could look like.
 As a firm believer in advertising, Temme avoided the common practice in the early days of false ads to bring in prospective customers.
Instead, Temme believed honest advertising will keep your customers coming back. See an original Temme ad from 1956 on the left.
They believed false ads made for cut-throat competition and inferior workmanship. To Temme, quality craftmanship at the right price were the principles which enabled Temme to thrive in the Chicagoland area.
The same goes for today in their new location in Elmhurst, Illinois.
